Vichy FrenchAmerican
Overview:
On D-Day of Operation Torch, the 2nd Battalion Landing Team (BLT) had in part the critical mission of capturing the coastal defenses of Mehdia before daylight. The Vichy French resisted the landings. In the fight the GIs were unable to halt their own naval gunfire support and could not close with the defenders. Later in the morning, a misunderstanding caused the green and shaken unit to advance about a thousand yards eastward into a village. Shortly thereafter it came under counterattack by westward moving French reinforcements. . .

2017-12-22(D) nathan wegener vs Scott Martin Vichy French winSigh- stuffed the attack for 8 turns but should have pulled more troops out earlier.
2017-05-17(D) Shane Pask vs American winDisappointing. French gave up after turn 5 - Mortar broken, 1 artillery carrier broke down before entering board, artillery spotter had STILL not made battery contact and tanks would only arrive after any chance of victory had passed. French scored a critical hit with the mortar early but it was ineffective. They did manage to reduce the US sniper rating and reached 1 building but were quickly repelled. Total French VP 2 out of 30 needed.
2015-08-30(A) Fred Schwarz vs Mike LaPlante Vichy French win
