The Germans invaded Poland on the morning of September 1. The newly independent state of Slovakia aided the Germans by offering free transit, the use of airfields, and three infantry divisions. The Slovakian Infantry divisions attacked in the disputed border region of the Carpathian Mountains. The Slovakian 2nd Infantry Division was assigned to capture the southern Polish towns of Nowy Sacz and Gorlice, but rapidly advancing German units captured the cities before the 2nd Division even crossed the border. In their first and only action of the campaign, at 0615 on September 3, elements of the divisional reconnaissance group took off to occupy the border town of Tylicz. The town was defended by a variety of soldiers loosely subordinated to Armia Karpaty, including well-trained frontier troops, national guardsmen, policemen and other civil servants.

A quick, fun and tense game. Slovakian won in the last CCPh with the last dice roll after exiting two armored cars

Fast playing little scenario. The Slovaks took 2 buildings and exited one car. The last car was making a run for the exit but a lucky shot from my ATR threading a needle through some buildings as the car passed managed to take it out ending his chances for victory.

I gave my son the Polish Balance, but it wasn't needed. Slovaks handled the assault pretty well, except for the Armored Cars, which didn't generate a single MC or TC on the enemy despite firing in every eligible phase. My Slovaks took 1 VC building and exited 3 ACs at a sprint on the last turn. But I couldn't cross the last street, so I lost with only 5VC of the 6 needed. Quick little scenario, and lots of fun.

The Slovakian infantry rushed forward and encountered light resistance. The armored cars provide MG support at a distance. Soon, an AT rifle and a MG spat fire on an armored car without serious damage. The Polish forces were revealed and the Slovakian troops cautiously overwhelmed them with the help of their armored cars which resisted numerous attempts to destroy them. Eventually, Polish resistance was wiped out of the town. A full victory for the Slovakians.

The hidden Polish troops destroyed three armored cars and disrupted the Slovakian attack. The scattered Slovakian troops were never able to control the three objective buildings. With only one armored car exited, the battle ended in a large Slovakian defeat.

Only three vehicoles reached the destination bit a strong final assault gave the control of the second building to the slovakian squads and the Victory. A nice scenario with hidden units and some bad vehicoles to move fast.
A very fun scenario. I first entered the armored cars and one ATR wrecked one. As the cars could now only help score for building, I quickly exited 2 for 2 VP and left the other in the middle of the town to help the infantry, but in turn 2 the ATR wrecked it. Meanwhile the infantry assaulted the buildings in frontal attacks that took some casualties but advanced well. There were some close combats and at the end the Slovakians had taken one building, were in melee in the second and one hex left of CC in the third, so a Polish victory but maybe for just one turn left.

Great fun with the Armored Cars getting into all sorts of awful situations(CMG/BMG both malf, shocked, immobilized) and forcing a very fast advance from the Slovaks. Slovaks get lucky with a final 2 DR while advance fire, but can't manage to secure the final victory hex in Close Combat with 2:1 odds on Turn 5. Best game we've played yet. A better strategy is to let the infantry advance and hold on to your cars to rush them off the edge at the end.
