2023-12-27 | (A) fabrizio da pra | vs | Fabio Mazzucchelli, Federico Corso | | Italian / South African win
2023-07-22 | (A) Michael Rodgers | vs | Erik Lindblad | A | Italian (Mutineers) win | The Italians mustn't use the north road to enter; its too far away. The historical alliance would be South African with Italian. For the Italians, however, an alliance with the Mutineers might work better. Ended with Mutineers 8, South African 6 and Italian 4. |
2022-10-22 | (A) Shane Pask | vs | | | Italian (Mutineers) win | As with the 2P version, luck was not with the Italians. The Mutineers took the arsenal early and picked up a 20L ATR and MMG and repulsed every Italian effort to retake it. The Italian reinforcements came in to the north but with all the open ground and brush, the Fiat did not even reach the town. The other Fiat was destroyed early with the purloined MMG.
The South Africans were no help at the arsenal concentrating everything on the station. By the time they had it under control (and the Mutineer 6+1 in custody) there was no time left to reach the town.
Final tally Mutineers 8, South Africans 6, Italians 2. |
2022-01-16 | (A) Paul Works | vs | Dan Best / David Mareske | | Italian (Mutineers) win
2022-01-16 | (D) Dave Mareske | vs | Paul Works/Dan Best | | Italian (Mutineers) win | Great 3-Player game, which came down to the last turn, but flames and SMOKE prevented the South Africans from getting into the needed buildings. The Italians were whittled down to a good order half squad which ended up holding onto a building. Dave won as the Mutineers, Paul lost as the South Africans, Dan lost as the Italians. |
2021-06-06 | (A) Stephen Stewart | vs | Neal Ulen, Scott Rowland | | Italian / South African win | South African crushed the rail station early.
Just moved east after that. |
2021-04-10 | (D) Ric Hammond | vs | Jim Aikens/Fen Yan | | Italian / South African win | From Jim Aikens report:
And at Fen Yan's suggestion, he, Ric Hammond and I teamed up for "Aiding the Local Constabulary", one of only a couple official 3-player scenarios.
This scenario shows the Italians significantly disadvantaged in the 3-player version. So much so, we decided to forego the regular balance (add a Hero), and bumped the Italian reinforcement group by a full elite squad. The dice gave me the Italians, Ric the Mutineers and Fen the South Africans. I've played this one a couple of times, and thought it was a hoot. This playing did not disappoint. The revised balance seemed to do the trick: our game was razor close from beginning to end. On the final player turn, all three sides were within 1 VP. In the end, my Italians pulled out a win, but it took rolling snakes, and ace-duce on my last two CC's in the final player turn to pull it out. This game really could have gone to any of us, depending on a single change to any number of dice rolls. My dice were red hot for the first 3 turns, particularly in CC; I won all eight CC's I went into during the game, mostly at 1-1 or 1-2 odds.
We all had a good time with this one. Just give the Italians our enhanced balanced, and it will be a great game for all.

2020-01-18 | (A) walter mcwilliams | vs | | | Italian / South African win | Played this a WO20 with some friends and it was great fun. |
2019-10-19 | (D) Vic Lauterbach | vs | Ben Lootens & Renato Ventura | | Italian / South African win | This one was a hoot! I took the weakest side but enjoyed every minute of it. Carriers and armored cars driving around, and lots of LR and low FP shots make for a wild little battle. If you're looking for a truly innovative and unusual ASL experience, play this one! |
2019-09-28 | (D) Richard Jenulis | vs | Ryan Wolk | | Italian / South African win | With Charles Watson as the South Africans.
Italians evicted the mutineers out of the town early and held for the win.
Mutineers held the railroad station and obliterated Italian reinforcements for a second place finish.
SA pushed hard agains the rail station and became bogged down, token attack against the village made no headway. |
2019-07-20 | (D) Kermit Mullins | vs | Dan Best, Dave Mareske | | Italian / South African win | The Italians and South Africans worked over my Italians in a very interesting scenario. |
2019-07-20 | (D) Dan Best | vs | Kermit Mullins and Dave Marekse | | Italian / South African win | Dave won as the South Africans. Scott was the Mutineers and Dan Italians. |
2019-03-06 | (A) Ian Morris | vs | Simon Staniforth and Martin Mayers | | Italian (Mutineers) win
2019-01-04 | (D) Gordon Jupp | vs | Neil Brunger & Andy Bagley | | Italian / South African win | Great 3 way game - mutineers took a bit of a pounding and the South Africans were unable to stop the Italians taking the win! |
2018-11-27 | (A) Ruben Rigillo | vs | Francesco Berucci Lorenzo Marinaro | | Italian / South African win | Great Three players scenario. |
2018-11-10 | (D) Paolo Cariolato | vs | Andrea Pagni / Alberto Biserni | | Draw | Very interesting scenario, we drew sides and I got stuck with the mutineers, I overextended but tried to get the Arsenal and its points early on, in my opionin the italian tried to do too much an hadn't enough punch to contrast my initial grip on the arsenal. The CW got easily the rail station and while I wiped out the italian on the 3a map he did the same on the other. In the end CW forgot that mutineers reinforcement come from ALL south side not just 3a and empietied the rail station. So we called it a draw at the beginning of the 4th turn otherwise mutineeres would have won hands down for a CW mistake.
I will gladly play it again. IMHO the mutineers has to leave the train station open for the italian player, so that CW and italian battle for that one. Italian has to choose which side to battle, cannot do it against both or he will be crusched. Very nice scenario with high replay value. REccomended. |
2017-09-09 | (A) Stephen dedier | vs | Reenstra, Dave | | Draw | The Italians won the scenario. I was the S. Africans. The mutineers were pretty much wiped out but kept me from getting the VP I needed to unseat the Italians.
I brought my 2nd force on at the late turn to enter nearer the town. The issue is that it gives time to defend also and you only have one way in so the Italians were setup and waiting. I think entering earlier gives some more options. |
2016-08-13 | (D) Gordon Jupp | vs | Derek Cox & Paco Mainez | | Italian / South African win | Another great game, I drew the Mutineers, and obviously didn't motivate them as I was crushed by the Imperial powers! The South Africans, controlled by Derek, performed well and easily overcame all resistance in a masterful attack :) |
2016-06-04 | (A) Andy Beaton | vs | Richard Hooks, Jeff Wasserman | | Italian / South African win | Italians (me!) and Mutineers killed each other off, South Africans came in and scooped up the lot. An amusing novelty, but I don't think I really like 3 player games much; too much opportunity for one player to sit aside and wait. |
2016-03-12 | (A) Gordon Jupp | vs | Nick Holmshaw/Jeremy Shields | | Italian / South African win | Really interesting 3 player game, we drew for sides and got the South Africans which meant I was just an onlooker for the initial setup, a fun sub-game all of its own! The game flowed nicely to and fro and went to the last turn when I managed to capture the railway station and one of the arsenal hexes after the Italians and Mutineers got hung up in a melee in the other hex! |
2016-01-01 | (A) Steve Bowen | vs | ZG and Ken | | Italian / South African win | A great 3 player scenario design where all 3 sides have numerous options. Very dynamic in play. South Africans won via the classic 3 player strategy of hanging back and letting the other two sides beat each other up and then swooping in for the win. All in all it seemed well balanced. Would play again for sure - great for those days when your group has an odd number of players. |
