2024-02-28 | (A) George Tashji | vs | | | German win | US was able to secure 2 VP buildings by Turn 2. Then the Germans counterattacked big on Turn 3, flaming one tank and recalling a second. Americans pressed on, securing a third VP building, but lost a CC to secure a fourth. Could not reach fifth or sixth in time. US needs to judiciously place smoke and WP from their mortars. |

2023-06-10 | (D) Yuqi Xiong | vs | Gregory | | German win | A fairly exciting and intensive scenario. I set a in-depth defense line. I deployed the INF in the center, trying to cut the battlefield into 2 parts. On turn 3, I'll receive a small reinforcement force compromising 3 447s plus 1 LMG and a 8-0.
Turn 1 and 2 had a LV+1 hindrance, so Americans took the first 3 VP buildings, wiping out 4 of my dummy stacks, but my defensive fire did scored quite a lot of hits, breaking some US squads.
I gradually withdrew to the second line. My opponent moved 2 hellcats to my extreme left wing to intercept my reinforcement and my routing path to the last 2 VP buildings. But things turned out lucky to me lol. One of the hellcats passing a building was knocked out by a desperate PF try by 2 of my squads, and they survived from K/2 result due to backblast. The second of the hellcats malfed its MA, and was soon destroyed by PF fired by my reinforcement. A successful sniper recalled the last hellcat lol. By turn 5, Americans lost all their AFVs. Later in a HtH melee, my 548 and gun crew, although eliminated, still managed to kill a stack one 236, one 546, one 667 plus a 9-1 for exchange. In the end, I won by holding 3 VP locations. |
2023-01-23 | (D) Shane Pask | vs | Neil McPherson | | American win | Cancon 2023. Didn't feel in a winning position for the whole scenario. Looking back, luck was not against me, just poor play on my side. |

2022-09-25 | (D) M T | vs | V K | | German win | I played a poor early game, losing a lot of troops to the initial American attack. Then my Sniper managed to Recall a Hellcat and another one was lost to a PF shot, forcing my opponent to play quite conservatively with his last remaining AFV. After that, my 75mm went on a ROF tear, shattering the American advance on the left flank. My opponent did manage to recover from this extremely well and the game was only decided on the final CCPh on German Turn 6 - resulting in mutual HtH elimination, which left the required two VP Locations in German hands. I had no Good Order units left on the board at the end of the game.
It was a great game and a great experience. In all honesty my opponent would have deserved the win, as I needed the ROF tear and the Sniper results to get back after a poor start. He played a solid game and used the Hellcats and the American smoke/WP capabilites to great effect.
Really liked this scenario, it's one of those instant action urban combat type games that are often very intense. Small playing area, lots of action. |

2022-03-23 | (A) Ben Jones | vs | Bruno Vazquez | | American win | American platoon moved fast up the left board edge to defend against any counter attack from the German reinforcements.
Didn't use the boosted WP until mid and late stages of game. There are too many German dummies to waste it on during the first few turns.
My opponent fell back but ended up kettled in the block across from the Church and needed to counterattack against a largely untouched American force.
I think the German reinforcements are a much greater threat if they try to penetrate and take back some of the deeper victory locations. |
2021-12-05 | (A) Stephen dedier | vs | Gene Patterson | | German win | I chose to push up the middle and made good progress despite only getting 1WP total from my 2 mortars before they were out. German shooting was good and the brittle Americans broke readily which scattered my forces after turn 3. My Hellcats contributed 0 smoke but were able to keep pushing the Germans back. The terrain is not good for getting a lot of good shots off with the 76.
Gene played a very good defense and we wound up with him in an Alamo position in 2 buildings for the last 2 turns. The Americans were able to get into a CC for the 6th building. I still had to protect my controlled buildings as the Germans get to counterattack in the bottom of the 6th. We wound up in melee in the 6th building for the German win.
Good scenario, Americans couldn't get many results on attacks and left too many Germans to defend in the end. |

2020-09-08 | (D) Eric Topp | vs | Kevin Sanders | | German win | US took some early losses when they ran out of Smoke and decided to run across the open with a stack. Later, the German INF broke on the first shot but still scared a tank destroyer away. After the German rolled snakes on a key CC, the US player conceded. |

2018-10-26 | (A) John Malaska | vs | Jeff Buser | | German win | Played OK, although losing an Hellcat to a MG kill hurt. Sniper almost took out a second M18, which effectively made it MIA. |
2018-10-26 | (D) Jeff B | vs | John Malaska | | German win | So the map for Hatten is beautiful, but my initial general impression is that it is extremely difficult terrain to defend with all of the orchards. Throw in smoke capability and, in some cases, mist and the job becomes even harder. I do think the Germans have an easier job of it, but think the Americans against an aggressive German attack stand virtually no chance. In this scenario the Americans swept hard up the northern edge while trying to bash their way into town under WP and mist cover. My dummies were effectively placed and I only suffered two broken squads while managing to kill two American HS. We would have almost a game-long stalemate in the south. I tried to keep concealment as long as possible, but it was not easy as every turn I needed to shore up my ranks with replacements after last turn's line got pushed back. I desperately needed my reinforcements as the noose was ever tightening. I was perhaps a bit reckless with them when I moved adjacent to an eastern board edge TD, who managed to blast to bits a squad and my 8-0, despite them being concealed. I felt I really needed to knock out all three TDs though as I figured holding two buildings would prove to be an insurmountable task. For the most part my INF gun was out of the action, though it did provide some protection against further American flanking maneuvers in the south. Turn 4 saw the full weight of the American onslaught start to show it's face, but not without its cost in lives, broken bodies, and a MALFd MA. Turn 5 was brutally deadly for both sides, with the highlight for me being a LMG turning a TD into a burning wreck (a first I am sure) and my other intrepid 8-0 surviving wounded, BH, and heroic amidst a horde of Americans and managing to flame a TD. He lasted until the end, and we both opined that he was likely to survive anything else the war threw at him. My opponent wisely moved his last TD to safety. In the end I was able to surround the L7 building with a wall of bodies, while anybody who approached K5 was gunned down. One more turn and the Americans would have had the game for sure and I feel lucky to have held out with a victory. |
2018-10-04 | (D) Paolo Cariolato | vs | Federico Corso | | German win | The scenario is a boring skulking game. |
2018-09-26 | (D) Tom Kearney | vs | Lindsey Murillo | | German win | My skulking Germans managed to pull out a win. Lindsey’s Americans used smoke effectively but was unable to exploit it to its full potential. |

2018-09-01 | (D) Richard Jenulis | vs | Greg Barsness | | German win | Last DR of the game. Germans needed a turret hit vs the hull down American AFV with a PF. Rolled the cdr1, wdr2 that I needed. A tense back and forth action all game. At the end of the game the only unbroken German unit left was a Berserk 8-0 leader. One of the best times I've had playing ASL. |
2018-09-01 | (D) Raoul Duke | vs | CM | | German win | Fun introduction to Hatten. Germans have to figure out a way to deal with flanking fire from the TDs, or they're in for a rough time. |
