2022-07-14 | (A) Rob MacGinley | vs | James Short | | American win | A good start for Germans but the faster TDs got good shots at the German super tanks and the Infantry were unable to protect - overextended my attack |
2022-06-10 | (A) Martí Cabré | vs | Alex Koestler | | American win | Round 1 of Roma 2022. I was the Germans and felt the scenario quite difficult, with any error meaning defeat. I tried to go for the buildings (as clearing the road seemed impossible) and managed to get close but by the last turn I could only take one less of the needed so I conceded. I destroyed the 4 American GMC and lost 1 Tiger, but on one of the open ground crossings a lucky American ROF broke five or six German squads (that were not stacked), making it quite impossible. |
2022-06-06 | (D) Andy Bagley | vs | Josh Kalman | | American win | Very exciting game, really close with the Germans just failing to get the last building they needed for victory.
I made some mistakes with my (American) setup, mainly in placing the bazookas too far forward, so that they were captured when these outposts were eliminated. But I did better in keeping my main force back to defend the buildings next to the road, and in particular with my 'hit and run' tactics with the TDs: they ran round to the back of the King Tigers, took a bounding fire shot, then ran off, remaining in motion, The Germans made their main attack in the North, and the Tigers chose to tough it out in support of the infantry rather than turn and face my TDs. So I got one of them and was unlucky not to get another.
In fact both of the other Tigers managed to malf their MA, but they still remained a threat with their MGs and VBM-froze a couple of critical locations - managing to escape CCRF even with my 9-2 leader helping! But I then got lucky when I fired into a Melee, breaking all three German squads but not my lone American! This left the Germans needing desperate measures to take the last building, which they just failed to do. |
2022-03-25 | (A) Jeff B | vs | John Fedoriw | | American win | Way too difficult for the Germans. Too large of an area to clear and too many powerful pieces for the Americans. I generally don't give up easily, but I called it before his tanks even arrived. I think if there were a few more turns to allow the Germans a non-frenetic attack it might be interesting, but as it is it's a waste of time. |
2022-03-13 | (D) Richard Jenulis | vs | Richard King | | American win | Took out a King Tiger with a Bazooka and another in CC! |
2021-12-31 | (D) Alan Krause | vs | Bob Eury | | American win | Almost wiped out his forces by the end of turn 3. The grain fields were fields of death for the assaulting Wehrmacht forces. |
2021-10-30 | (D) Alan Krause | vs | Ish Molnar | | German win | Could not stop his tanks, and didn't have enough good order troops at the end to stop him from claiming the last building that he needed. |
2021-10-05 | (D) Tom Abromaitis | vs | | | Draw | Solo German win. Ma Deuce did not deliver. |
2021-05-28 | (A) Kermit Mullins | vs | Dan Best | | German win | The first Ma Deuce KIA'd a stack of three squads with the 7-0 who mistakenly thought they couldn't be seen. But after that the Germans met up with their three King Tigers and went to work taking the building locations. The German sniper managed to mess with the American 9-2 and casualty reduce his squad with the MMG. Then the 4 M10's came and and all went down to the King Tigers. After that, the King Tigers focused on the remaining US infantry, which allowed the Germans to take the necessary victory locations for the win. |

2020-06-26 | (A) Rob MacGinley | vs | Rodney Ding | | American win | Great Game to play for those who love Tiger Tanks like me
You have to both sweep the road - top to bottom or bottom to top (quads 50 should cover each one of these pushes) then a battle royal with tigers versus M10 - escort them so you have a PF or two as well and you do better |
2019-11-09 | (D) X von Marwitz | vs | Christophe Lannier | | American win | Played this one again as the defending US. The US left held on quite nicely with 1.5 squads in the forward buildings screwing up more almost three times their number of Germans. Most of the remaining Germans came in on the US right. To get forward fast, my opponent tended to move in stacks which mostly worked fine since I had only a token force on that flank. I said mostly, because one of this stacks was taken apart by one of the meat-choppers. The first time in something like half a dozen scenarios that featured such weapons, M16s or Wirbelwinds that I ever got a result which could be expected by such beasts. The King Tigers were extremely hard to tackle. They just moved up, stopped adjacent and shot my units to pieces with the German infantry rushing on unhampered to close in on the US right. My M-10 GMCs entered from the US left. One took onto the rear of one of the King Tigers, re-DM'ing some broken Germans on the way. The King Tiger turned three hexsides, rolled snakes but - phew - missed his chance for an improbable hit and broke his MA on intensive fire to be recalled. The Germans were solidly within half of the middle buildings along the VC road supported by two Tigers with two 666 a 7-0 and a MMG hanging on in the other half. A lucky BAZ shot from the central buildings at range 4 managed to take out one of those King Tigers. At that point, it looked quite well for the US despite one of the M-10s being recalled due to Sniper attack: I had 3x M-10s left, the 9-2 plus company was lodged in the leftmost buildings, the middle buildings were still held by 2 squads+MMG and a leader. Last but not least, the open ground between the middle buildings and the leftmost buildings were covered by the still HIP second meat-chopper. As we were running out of time, my opponent ceded me the win. |
2019-10-18 | (D) X von Marwitz | vs | Michael Koch | | American win | Scenario with interesting American A51 Meatchoppers and German King Tigers on newish map 11b (as of Oct. 2019). I had the defending Americans in this one.
The VC for the Germans are not easy given a 5.5 Turn scenario. The Germans have a 2:1 ratio of Infantry, though more than half of it is 2nd Line. German reinforcements consist of 3 King-Tigers, US reinforcements of 4 M10 tank-destroyers.
The Germans have plenty of ground to cover to fulfil the VC and not much time to lose. The US must fight a delaying tactic with is not easy because the terrain can make it tricky to fall back. The 24FP and 2 ROF (for IFE) M51s can be a real pain, however, the US should think carefully where to place and when to reveal them.
In our game, the Germans came in with the strong Schwerpunkt on his right flank with a small group on the very left to take care of the US pickets or dummies in the southern area.
Altogether, the delaying went quite well for my Americans. In German Turn 3, I managed to destroy one King Tiger with a Bazooka side-shot and hat yet one M51 hidden. The US troops further up front were partly overcome and partly would have difficulties to pull back, however would be in a position to make gaining ground for the Germans a pain. The best German leader with the HMG and MMG was stuck in the open on the DD hexrow.
The Germans called it a day at the start of US Turn 3. The 8-1 + HMG would have gotten a pasting and my 4 M10's would have various options to be a pain either by swarming one of the King Tigers or impeding the progress of the German infantry so that the Germans would very likely have run out of time to fulfill the VC. |
2019-05-20 | (D) David Stoffey | vs | David Ready | | American win
2019-04-13 | (A) Tom Kearney | vs | Rodney Hughes | | German win | Bitter Ender 2019. |
2019-04-13 | (D) Paolo Cariolato | vs | Stefano Isella | | German win | A king tiger was immobilized on the turn it entered by a bazooka. The other 2 were destroyed at the end of the 3rd turn, but it wasn't enough. My americans couldn't pass a MC and when the 3rd TD was recolled I thrown the towel. The scenario is nice and much more balanced than its ROAR record would suggest. |
2019-04-12 | (A) David Garvin | vs | Brent Crawford | | German win | My King Tigers went up the middle, daring the US to come at them. They did. Soon all four M 10s were ablaze and the Bazooka teams were dispersed. German win! |

2019-04-07 | (A) Eric Partizan Eric | vs | | | American win
2019-02-28 | (A) Michael Rodgers | vs | Ran Shiloah | | American win
2019-01-19 | (A) Stephen dedier | vs | Fritz, Ed | | American win | Ed took me too school on tanks. I made great progress against his infantry pushing them back but getting one of my Tigers disabled with a Baz deliberate immobilization shot. No reason for that to happen, I was too aggressive. The TD's came on and took out both my other Tigers. I need a lot more practice on AFV defensive tactics. Tigers. Even though I took out 3 of his TD's and most of his infantry (had all but the quad 50's out of VC hexes), without the Tigers I couldn't touch the meat choppers and it ended with an American victory. Fun scenario! |
2019-01-19 | (A) Jeff Waldon | vs | Will Willow | | American win | FtF - Winter Offensive |
2019-01-17 | (A) Tom Kearney | vs | John Dober | | German win | Winter Offensive 2019. Very close! |
