On 4 July a Russian offensive cut off Grenadier-Regiment 437. A kampfgruppe lead by Lieutenant Bidermann fell back and soon only a small village stood between them and friendly lines. The seemingly deserted settlement hid Russian infantry backed by two old T-26 tanks. With Landsers out of Panzerfäuste and their only support being two light FlaK halftracks, the obsolete T-26s might well put an end to Bidermann's escape.
Attacker: German (Panzerjaeger-Abteilung 132 and I Battalion, Grenadier-Regiment 437, 132. Infanterie-Division)
I was able to bag a couple of russian squad in the first turn and a soviet tank to a 20L shot. Guido defended stubbonly the wall on his right side even if he had nowhere to go in case of rout. He managed 2 CH with the 45 on the left side but things where going well for me since bagged to more of his squad and he was down to 2. then he self rallied one and my attack lost momentum. I was able to exit one SdKfz another, he had 2 squad and the tank left but I had 5 squad with 2 leaders ready to exit (one squad with a covered path) and more important he was in the back and I had his rout to interdict me covered with a lot of firepower. Unfortunately for me both of his squad were able to reposition (passing not less that 8 shot at -2 ranging from 2 to 8. in the process ) there were a couple of shot that left 2 res that MRLed all my squad, and none of them where able to pass a single MRL check. So Guido was able to gain is first win against me.
Great Scenario and a true classic

Fun scenario that came down to the wire. I pushed up both sides so that Mike couldn't concentrate his force against me. He defended well taking as few shots from the Germans as possible. I was able to sneak one HT off the board for one point and lost the other getting too aggressive. I managed to get a squad off the other side of the board losing a lot of their countrymen to pave the way.
It came down to me running one squad first and then another squad with a leader down the right side. My squad soaked up the IFT and then got hit on an intensive fire shot from one of the 47's breaking them and leaving the 6 resid. I had to run my remaining squad and leader through the risid to get off and Mike rolled snakes on the 6 flat shot ending my hopes. Fun scenario that could have gone either way. I think i would drop the trailers from the HT as soon as possible and keep their higher mobility for a run off the board if possible.

The Germans overloaded one side and pushed hard together to get 1 AFV and 2 squads off on turn 5. The German took the chance of running right beside a Russian tank facing the wrong way and got to the end of the board before leaving for the 1 squad equivalent Balance was given to the Russians that removed the German MMG

Played Steve in the 1st round of one of the mini's at Stpreading Blaze. We are both in the Atl club so have played before.
I pushed hard into his left flank and made excellent progress to the road by turn 2. He managed to fall back well and fight backwards with his tanks funneling me into an exit attempt down his left flank.
I managed to disable one tank in CC and ran one of my halftracks through the gauntlet to escape.
It came down to a hail of bullets but I managed to get enough MMC of the edge for victory on the last turn.

Very nice scenario on a half map. In this play the Germans made the mistake of splitting their force in half and also didn't make good use of their AFVs. Russians managed to hold on for a win despite some late setbacks.

Very nice little scenario. I eliminated two russian squad in the first turn and one more on the second. A well placed sniper took out my 9-2 and a squad that failed to kill a russian AFV in melee, this fact gave the russian some hope, but my leading in squad number was decisive and I won on turn 5.

Was kind of afraid of this one. The German self propelled AA platforms could enter and exit the board on the first turn. That would have been embarrassing. So I set up strong on the road and left the woods area significantly less well defended. Of course, that is where the Germans attacked. I was able to bring my AFV's on and kill the AA guns on turn 2. Then both guns on the Russian AFV's broke. My MMG broke, and then so did a lot of infantry (into conscripts). I was able to repair the MMG and keep it manned - making it tough to cross the road bisecting the map. Then my MMG crew went berzerk, left the MMG on a charge, which left the way open for a win for the Germans.

Pleasant game, Mike is new to our group and this seemed like a good teaching game. Forgot to have him roll his NTC to move the T26, which was key in blocking one edge of the the board by the bridge, also forgot to move a squad on the next to last turn. That squad would have been able to exit. My final error was in exiting the half tracks a turn early instead of keeping them on board to interdict his effort to reposition his defense. Still had a shot to exit one last squad to win, but he broke in a 1 FP firelane shot.
