Overview:
Reeling under heavy blows by the vastly superior German military machine, the Polish front had all but collapsed by the middle of September. The Black Brigade, after disengaging from combat with the 2nd Panzer and 4th Light Divisions, continued their withdrawal to the east, collecting scattered remnants of other Polish units along their way. A shortage of fuel forced the 10th Motorized to abandon many of its vehicles during the withdrawal. The German 1st Gebirgsjager Division had maneuvered between the withdrawing Polish forces and Lemberg. The Polish 10th Mechanized Brigade ran into Germans early in the morning. The Poles were short on fuel and sleep, but not on determination. The 10th Mounted Rifle Regiment, reinforced with the Scout Tank Company, launched a vicious strike to break through the German lines.Attacker: Polish (Reinforced elements 10th Mounted Rifle Regt., 10th Motorized Cavalry Brigade)

2023-10-30 | (D) David Garvin | vs | Nick Faryna | D | Polish win | Great scenario and those little TKS tanks just would not die! I did immobilize one and knocked out a second, but Nick's Poles just kept coming! |
2023-04-02 | (A) Mark Thompson | vs | Kevin Hannan (Germans) | Polish win (VASL Log) | The Poles chose Group B and concentrated their attack in the southern woods, placing the MMG and ATR in the northern hills as a fire base. The German mortars in the central woods and southern hills broke the fire base units and initially stymied the Poles attack. The TKSs then VBM freezed the mortars, allowing the Poles' main body to reach the southern woods and the edge of Board 17. The Polish reinforcements then pushed in the northern woods while the southern group concentrated on generating concealment. The Germans made the game interesting by force recalling 2 TKSs and destroying a third, but the Polish two wing attack was eventually too much to cover, and the Germans conceded in Polish Player Turn 6
2021-03-02 | (A) Andy Bagley | vs | Tony Gibson | Polish win | Another great scenario from the excellent Poland in Flames pack. The Poles start with 14 or 15 squads and 4 tankettes, so getting just two of these across Board O and onto Board 17 doesn't sound too hard. But it's not easy against 8-morale Germans with a range of weaponry and (gulp) a 9-2 leader. I went for a concentrated thrust on the right flank with a handful of units on the left to stop the Germans shifting to reinforce. Very tough going with heavy losses including two tankettes, and my infantry basically failed to make it across. I won only because my remaining two tankettes were able to run the gauntlet of ATR and MG fire to reach Board 17, which was just enough. Those TKS's are poorly armed and armoured, but if they keep moving they're pretty difficult to hit! I was fortunate that none of my TKS's broke down or malf'ed their guns. PS: After the game we discussed SBR1, which appears to allow Polish units to cross the water obstacle on the extreme left via row GG. Too slow for infantry perhaps but a possible route for the TKS's which could make life a little easier for the Poles.
2020-07-18 | (A) Richard Jenulis | vs | Tycho Granville | Polish win | VASL: The Poles pushed hard on the left flank and were able to cross the stream and change their socks before the Germans could reinforce in strength.
2020-06-13 | (D) Macari Samuel | vs | Robin | Polish win | Easy win for the Polish. A lack of understanding about the German setup didn't help them as well !
2019-12-05 | (A) Gordon Jupp | vs | Neil Brunger | Polish win | Went for MMg group and held Tankette off until T2. Decided to demonstrate on left and push on right. T2 was a disaster and nearly gave up, lost a tankette to the 75mm crit hit, my entire front line broke under fire. After a cup of tea (!) thought about it - the Poles only need 2 squad equivalents so if they can keep enpough alive and keep pushing....which is what happened. On T6 I had 3 tankettes and 10 squads available to fulfil conditions...the tankettes drove on and although one was immobilised the other 2 were ensconsed on Board 17 to win scenario...interesting, would play again...
2019-10-06 | (A) Michael Rodgers | vs | Pete Dicioccio | Polish win | I chose the MMG group and gave them to the turn one entry. First force mostly pushed up left flank. Second force pushed up right flank. One tank went down in VBM CC. The other three got through by turn 4, along with a few squads. German conceded then.

2017-04-29 | (A) Allen Evenson | vs | Greg Barsness | German win | Germans were able to delay my Polish forces just enough - fun game that went the distance.
2017-01-14 | (D) Paolo Cariolato | vs | Alberto Biserni | German win | Very good scenario, the initial set up is crucial for Germans. As polish you better send all your units on one side of the map and overwhelm the defenders there. Keep the MMG and tanks in overwatchon the hill and be ready to push your luck with the tankettes in case your infantry was not able to gain a foot in map 17 by the end of the game. I was able to pull it off as German because my opponent attacked piecemail and rolled very high during the game.
2016-06-08 | (A) Dave Mareske | vs | James Treu | Polish win | The German ART never got off a decent shot and so the Polish armor were able to sneak through the lines. |
