Overview:

The German invasion was crushing Russian initial defenses everywhere. After considerable delay, Timoshenko gave the orders to open the “Red Packets”. The instructions in these cover plans were to be obeyed. The 42nd Rifle Division’s independent Reconnaissance Battalions with armored cars and a motorcycle company, accompanied by the 393rd Independent AA Battalion, were to proceed to Zhabinki and take up defensive positions to stem the oncoming German tide. . .

2025-08-18(D) Jason Nichols vs Hugh Harvey German winI was too aggressive as the Russian and paid the price. Should have consolidated my forces and made a concentrated rush but allowed the Germans to destroy me piecemeal. Probably historically accurate though! Well played by Hugh, he provided me with a number of hints and corrections when I got the MP's wrong (the Russian A/C's are trucks basically). Movement off-road and bypass are a killer.
2024-04-01(A) Ben B vs Russians Russian winThis was my first ASL scenario using AFVs. I played the Germans and tried to focus my defense on the choke points created by the bridges. Russians managed to destroy all 3 German AFVs by turn four with only 3 losses of their own.
2024-02-24(A) Bob McKenna vs Lou Padilla Russian winRussian moto infantry entered quickly and attacked dismounted German infantry. Once the infantry was broken, the moto infantry entered second story of the large building and hit the Germab halfback with fire. The German tank crossed the bridge and exchanged fire with Russians who rolled a 2 and flamed the Panzer 3. The last German vehicle with the armor leader manahed to break some Russian infantry who rputed and lead the surviving Germans info a trap.. The armor leader tried to stop the platoon of Russian trucks but was destroyed coming around the stone building. Quick work.for Russian. Good plan executed perfectly with 3 or 4 turns. Great job, Comrade Padilla-nov.
