[Mark Nixon, Journal #1]: High quality Russians hold the canal bridges against rag-tag remnants of the Muencheberg Panzer Division, fleeing Berlin in the last days of the war. Scenario parameters force the Germans into a frenzied rush across those bridges and something of those fearful days seems captured here in cardboard.

2016-11-16(D) Jeff B vs Ryan Ellett Russian winI wish they would've modified this scenario from the original version. The pre-dawn twilight in effect here is so much more cumbersome than typical LV hindrances. And, for the life of me, I fail to see the point of having a full 9 turn game when 8.5 would seem to do just fine. Germans didn't push hard enough to cross early and allowed the Russians to set up in their stone buildings and guard the bridges, picking them off en masse when they did make the push.
2014-07-02(A) Seumas Hoskins vs Matthew Clark German win
2013-10-26(D) mark watson vs Blind Sniper German winPBEM. A complete blow-out. Ale crushed me completely by the 5th turn. Poor set-up -- a tiny bit of bad luck (Malfing my HMG on the first turn after creating a German Hero... that sort of thing), but mostly poor play on my part. Instructive. As for the scenario: I'm not sure. It feels long in the tooth, I think.
2013-10-26(A) Alessandro Demichelis vs Mark Watson German winGerman force must cross the river and exit enough EVP to win, different quality units with several vehicles. Russian setup needs close attention otherwise the German can reach and cross the river before the enemy reinforcements.
2013-10-12(D) Jeff B vs Curtis Brooks German winIt came down to the last turn but it really wasn't that close. Once the Russian tank malf'd his MA it was clear what the result would be. The gun was a non-factor as the Germans executed used the far bridge to exit.
