BulgarianPartisan (Siatista Guerrillas)
Overview:
After the swift and total Axis victory over Greece, Bulgaria laid claim to Thrace and Macedonia. Throughout the winter of 1941-42, small bandit groups began to emerge as the nucleus of a fledgling resistance movement. On March 29th, two such bands looking to augment their meager armory raided a Bulgarian encampment in the Rhodopes Mountains. They made off with a number of weapons including light and tripod-mounted machineguns. A Bulgarian infantry company, after sorting itself out, set off in pursuit of the bandits. . .

2016-11-12(A) Michael Dorosh vs Colin Emerson Partisan (Siatista Guerrillas) winCame down to last turn. Lots of 12s in this one, but Partisan hung on to two MGs to force 9 squads over the finish line. Just couldn't get my Bulgarians going fast enough, particularly my mortar.
2016-11-12(D) Colin Emerson vs Michael Dorosh Partisan (Siatista Guerrillas) winBarely won by holding 2 mgs. One remained hidden until the second last turn, kind of sneaky but a good tactic to make it tougher on the Bulgarians. Definitely didn't think of that tactic at the time. This is a fall back and hold on for dear life type scenarios. Looking at the battlefield it's a loss for the Partisans. Bulgarians steam rolled me.
2014-11-28(A) Robert Zinselmeyer vs Jan Spoor Bulgarian winThe Bulgarian mortar was the difference maker. Broke several partisans in the central woods and then scored a CH on the 9-1 w/MMG in the foxhole to break it open on the left and the Bulgarians were able to pour through.
