Overview:
On 24 October, Panzer Division 14 reached its objective of “Bread Factory #2” just south of the Barrikady. The next day the German assaults against the buildings continued but were soon checked by fierce defensive fire of the Soviet 138th Rifle Division. Sgt. Esser, leading remnants of Motorcycle Battalion 64, crouched in the ruins opposite the squat buildings of the Bread Factory. Across the street lay his company commander -- dead. Behind him sprawled the motionless body of the platoon commander -- also dead. By his side a section leader groaned deliriously, a bullet through his head. Suddenly, Esser went berserk. Leaping to his feet, he screamed "Forward!" and charged across the deadly street, his twelve remaining men close at his heels.

RB SSRs. A: 1-time Berserkness for 9-1 leader and his squads
The German assault failed to capture the buildings. In close combat, the Russian were quite deadly and the Russian sniper shot several times killing the 9-2 leader. A total Russian victory.

The German attack was strong up the middle. The German 9-1 went Berserk on Turn and took the squads with them. The squads died, but the leader got in for CC with a Russian squad. He would turn them into a half-squad and the German sniper broke the squad upstairs, which then died because the Berserk 8-1 was downstairs. The Russians managed to hang in there as the Germans broke their HMG and 3 of their LMG's. The F42 building fell on Turn 5 and then on Turn 6, the Germans were on the ground level of G43, but the Russian 9-1 snaked and battlehardened upstairs which gave the Russians the win.

Germans made some good initial headway, seizing most of the important buildings including the victory locations. The bezerk 9-1 made a daring attack across the streets and wiped out the Russian stronghold. However, Steve's reinforcements showed up and made a wild (and improbable) comeback win with a human wave. Wild game overall.

Seemed to be going ok for my attacking Germans, but suddenly the conscript reinforcements arrived and took the flank whilst the buildings that I'd had captured were cleared out by efficient CC.

Classic urban scenario, as always went down to the last turn ( which this scenario normally does). Lots of fun with berserk Russian, Fanatic Germans and all the other joys of close in fighting. The Germans took VC buildings quite early but kept breaking and at one stage both building were completely empty but as the Russians were about to occupy the German sniper came to the rescue and broke the 458 squad. Good quick fun scenario.

Germans got a hit on fast, and was in the victory buildings by turn 2. I counterattacked, got back into one of the buildings, but lost the CC when he rolled boxcars. I did kill his 9-1 "hero" in a CC ambush by my 9-1, killing it and a half squad. My gun got into the game, pinning him down a bit, but he just had to much firepower, and my troops failed lots of morale checks. It was all over by the end of turn 4. If the Russians do a bit of damage on the first couple of turns, they can win, but if the Germans get into the victory buildings early, it is very tough for the Russians.

Despite some German inroads into the factory buildings in J- and L43, the defensive fires from the H41 building and G43 absolutely eviscerated the fascist aggressors. Neil threw in the towel after I, running low on targets, broke his death star in F36.

Lots of fun, Germans looked like they had an edge, but the berserker screwed me over pretty bad, as well as a real nasty yahtzee on a hot sniper, and a REALLY nasty CH from the AT gun that knocked me off of my feet.
