Overview:
In the days following Operation Spring, the 2nd Canadian Infantry Division conducted several short but sharp engagements to improve their positions. One such position was the adjoining villages of St. Andre-sur-Orne and St. Martin-de-Fontenay. The Canadians held the southeast portion of St. Andre and all of St. Martin except the church on the southern outskirts. Brigadier H.A. Young wanted the church taken. He believed the objective could be taken by a company of infantry supported by engineers.

2018-01-06(A) rene cote vs jeanfelix German (SS) winteaching my son to play and losing in the process! I thought the Canadians were in good posture reaching the church but 5 hexes of level2 stone were just too much to clear in the available time. Last german turn, a single half squad survived unbroken for the victory. Blocking the stairwells with sacrificial CC worked out for the germans
2017-10-16(A) patrick palma vs Panu Kinnari Canadian win
2016-11-11(A) Christian Knudsen vs Neil Andrews Canadian winMy first ASL scenario in 25 years, I got some timely dice on both sides and pulled out a win.
2015-12-15(A) rene cote vs Myself German (SS) winA complete Canadian defeat. Never even made it to the church wall. Bad distribution of leaders and reckless street crossing. Probably need to be more deliberate and concentrated in the attack.
2011-06-30(D) Fred Ingram vs John Barkoviak German (SS) winGot tight at the end but the British ran out of time. I had a couple of good rolls in great places.
