RussianGerman (SS)
Kampfgruppe Frey of SS-Panzer Division 1 Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler had orders to hold Kotscherovo at any price. One thing was clear; the Russians wanted Kotscherovo and were encircling the town in preparation for an attack. As the cold dawn morning arrived they came, punctually at 0630 hours. The Fifth Guards Tank Corps' attack was heralded by the screams of Stalin's Organs followed by the incessant whistling, hissing, and crumpling of the earth as they erupted in the centre of the town. After the attack the Soviet infantry arrived on all sides with tank support and stormed the German's position.

2019-05-29(A) Jeff B vs Magnus Rimvall German (SS) winPretty tough to root out concealed SS from stone buildings and lots of rubble, but I almost pulled it off. I'm never a fan of bug hunts either when it comes to clearing an entire area. A lot depends on which reinforcements come on when and where too. In other words, if too much goes wrong for the Russians they will have no chance. This one went to the end, with me bringing onboard the last HIP HS with recon by fire, but losing a CC ambush allowing him to withdraw upstairs to preserve the victory. The 2019 Double One scenario list is probably the worst I've ever seen for any tournament, hands-down.
