2025-03-02(A) Will Willow vs Roy Johanson Russian winWent to the last CC roll.
2025-02-20(D) Jon Jaramillo vs Carl German win2 hrsPlayed at west coast melee 2025. The dice gave me the defending Germans. The Russians came in heavy on the east edge of the German set up area but the attack bogged down when he hit the wide city streets. He tried to bring his t40s in behind me but ran into my concealed AT gun which quickly got rid of them. I finally broke down his defense of the west edge and ran a few units into the German area late in the game. This ensured that the Russians would have to capture a stone location in my set up area and eliminate a couple MMCs to win. Some effective fire in German turn 4 made it impossible to get to the Germans that had fallen back in the south and the Russians conceded. Fun scenario plays quickly.

2024-01-15(D) Eric Partizan Eric vs François Boudrenghien German win
2022-03-12(A) Doba Serge vs Pascal B Russian win
2022-03-12(D) Pascal Boileau vs Serge Doba Russian winA small but funny scenario. The German defense crumbled in the very last turn while the issue was totally undecided during the previous ones... GG Serge !
2021-01-21(A) Tuomo Lukkari vs Neil Brunger Russian win[Imported from ROAR]
2019-03-19(D) JP Laurio vs Ron German win
2018-10-11(A) Jeff B vs John Malaska Russian win2.5 hrsThis one is way too small and dicey for my tastes. I figured it would be over, one way or another, by the end of Turn 2 and I was right. My Russians started off with a 30+3 on the 9-2 and squad. I figured he was the keystone of the German defense. Anyway, for the second time on the opening shot today(!)(I played two games), my sniper was activated and mortally wounded a 9-2. But when my T-34 drove brazenly up to the building a German HS(!) turned it into a burning wreck with CC reaction fire. I'd still take that trade. Especially when, on the other side of the board (which is only a few hexes away) my first T-60 VBM froze a squad, paving the way for my pack of 9-1 led 6-2-8s to blast it. The rest of the game was all Russian. Despite the fact that the Germans created two leaders and a hero, there was just no stopping the Red Horde. I was very underwhelmed with this scenario as I know luck could have just as easily gone the other way.
2018-10-11(D) John Malaska vs Jeff Buser Russian winGot spanked, pure & simple. never forget the big picture of the setup! Still, got to KIA a T34!
2018-07-07(D) Scott Sherer vs Paul Crouse Russian winFun, tight game that game down to the final CC roll in one of the VC stone hexes. First time playing VotG (or any HASL for that matter) and this was an excellent one to start with. Played at July Columbus Area Advanced Squad Leader meeting.
2018-06-23(D) Lawrence Spangler vs Diane Spangler Russian win
2018-06-23(A) Diane Spangler vs Lawrence SpanglerA Russian win
2018-05-12(A) Ricardo Garcia vs Santiago Lopez German winMy first face-to-face game after 25+ years, and my first tournament game ever. This was also the first scenario in MadASL 2018. Santiago was a very tough nut to crack! I learnt a lot about the game. I tried to hurry with my forces, and I paid a high price. Highly recommend the scenario.
2018-05-05(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins German win
2018-05-05(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winGood scenario...but my dice were stone cold and Dan's were red hot. So my Russians were battered and repulsed as Dan's Germans won the day after just 3-1/2 turns.
2018-03-20(D) Martí Cabré vs Nicolas Sabido German winRussians lost their T-34 to malfunction and were taken back by MG fire but they rallied and attacked again gaining hold on all German controlled buildings. The DC broke one HS in a cellar allowing for a final assault but the final German defensive fire pinned a group of Russian units needed to CC a location so the Germans saved the day.

2014-12-05(A) Russell Dewhurst vs Gordon German win
2014-03-29(D) Will Willow vs David Lamb Russian winFTF
2014-03-04(D) Eric Ortega vs Mark Woods German winMark had some of worst luck with Dice I had ever seen. Lost his Commissar on a 1MC with Box Cars!
But ever gracious , in play finished the game. I can see the Russians being hard to hold back on adv rolls.
2012-03-04(D) Jeff Coleman vs VASL Russian win
2011-01-27(D) Fred Ingram vs Jeff Coleman Russian winOK. This scenario owns me. I have now lost it twice as the Germans and once as the Russian. My first shot against the T-34 with the AT gun missed with HEAT, so I followed up with a deliberate immobilization in a pretty good out of the way spot. Then the game bit me in the butt. My 9-2 leader took a fatal wound to the head and broke his accompanying squad. Then then 9-1 broke with his squad basically leaving the front in shambles. It went slowly downhill from that.
2011-01-27(A) Jeff Coleman vs Fred Ingram Russian win
2010-10-30(D) Paul Jones vs Nick Ransom German winGermans lost 9-2 leader and kill stack to CH from T34 but couldn't be shifted from cellars
2010-08-24(D) Paul Jones vs Ian Daglish German winGerman kill stack and squads in cellars very tough to shift
