Overview:
Before the outbreak of the war, some French groups questioned why France would go to war with Germany over Poland and "die for Danzig". However, any French reluctance to fight did not prevent the outbreak of the war. In March 1945 the front lines ran through Danzig, and soldiers on both sides literally were dying for control of the city. The Russians formed combined-arms assault groups, comprising flame-thrower tanks, assault guns and infantry. On 27th March, such assault teams of 108th Rifle Division hit the German positions.
Attacker: Russian (510th Independent Tank Regiment and reinforced 108th Rifle Division, 65th Army)
Defender: German (Grenadier-Regiment 61, 1. Kompanie, schwere Heeres-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 664, Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 4, and Stragglers)

2017-08-05(D) Jason Wert vs Jim Travers Russian winReally nice pbem game with Jim. Jim was patient and steadily advanced the Russians, forcing me into a smaller box. Last turn FPF hurt the Germans and a DC finished the defense. Great scenario
2017-05-12(D) patrick palma vs Chris Chapman Russian win
2014-10-07(D) Jeff B vs Marty Snow German winThis looked like a lost cause from the get-go for the Germans, but once the Russians lost all their toys they at least had a chance. A heroic stand back-to-back in the middle of the road came down to the final CC to preserve the victory.
2014-01-22(D) Andy Beaton vs Jonathan Kay Russian winDidn't concentrate my forces enough, destroyed in detail. Took a few Russians with me though.
