Semper Paratus ETO (id:#61793)
(Rivers to the Reich ID:U35)
Designer: Adapted by Jim Stahler
Starter kit scenario?:    Deluxe scenario?:
"Semper Paratus" (Latin for "Always Ready") was the motto of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Regiment. Lieutenant C.P. J. Des Groseillers urged his straining men to push again. D Company had found a German 75mm antitank gun in the ruins of Oorderen. The breech had been hidden and the weapon left in the town center with some 200 rounds of ammunition. Well it just so happened that an enterprising scrounger had found this curious metal block. Lt. Des Groseillers did a little work. Now D Company had its own artillery. Everyone knew that C Company was going to be attacking the German bunker line north of the town. D Company would make sure that Jerry got back his 75mm shells. Perhaps in a slightly used condition. The Rileys looked out for their own.

2017-01-04(D) Ken Rutkowski vs Jeff Miller Canadian winI set up in a circle with my pillboxes. Unfortunately I didn't pay enough attention to the covered arc's and left gaps for Jeff's Canadians to move right up to the boxes. I had a tough defender that lasted until the last CC attack by Jeff in the last turn.
2016-01-18(A) Dave Mareske vs Scott Martin Canadian winThe pillboxes were spread all out and despite not getting smoke the Canadians were able to kill the last of the Germans on the last melee.
2013-11-22(A) Michael Rodgers vs Mike Stachowski Canadian winGerman had all the pillboxes in the woods, not supporting each other. Canadian sent five squads and two leader on the flank attack. Canadians had taken four pillboxes in two turns.
2013-11-16(A) Michal Bonaventura vs German win
2013-08-09(D) Martí Cabré vs Santiago Penabella Canadian winI set up a circle of bunkers but Santiago dropped three rounds of smoke in two turns using the gun and mortar and I could not fire a single shot without less than a +2. Even then the pillboxes fell by CC one by one, but some infiltration results saw the Germans retaking a pillbox, the game ended on the last die roll as two pillboxes had not fallen but there was only one German broken squad in the map. It had to roll a 5 to autorally and win the scenario, and it rolled a 6. Fun game but tough for the Germans.
