Although successful in their counter-attack, the Germans were forced to withdraw approximately 300 meters since the units on left on the location of Montecieco (871st Regiment) had not held. At that point, around 9030 hours, men of the 2/7 Queen’s kept pushing forward, trying to keep up the pace of the advance, and take even the village of Ca Tentoni. The Germans defended tenaciously, and 9th and 10th Kompanies lurched forward in a new counter-attack.
