Starter kit scenario?:    Deluxe scenario?:
American / BritishGerman
Operation Market Garden was in full swing and encountering unexpectedly heavy resistance. Attempts to wrest control of the Waal Bridge by head-on assaults were repulsed. General Gavin decided on a daring river assault to outflank the center of resistance. A mile to the west, the 504th Parachute Regiment was to cross in broad daylight behind a massive smokescreen, advance along the north bank, ad link up with other elements attacking across the bridge. . .

2014-05-30(D) Aaron Sibley vs Pete Phillipps German winEnjoyed the game but the scenario does not reflect what really happened. With the Americans able to gain many exit points from prisoners this meant I defended behind the road. The crossing was unopposed.
2013-11-24(A) mark watson vs Luke Sineath American / British winLuke conceded in turn 9 when it was clear I would be able to hit 21 VP in the next turn. He had a lot of trouble with his setup, however, his sniper was god-like, probably accumulating ~10 CVP by the end of the game. It took a while. As for the scenario itself: not sure about this one. The river crossing is tedious if you aren't the Americans: you are looking at hundreds of drs over the course of the game. And the Amis have TONS of artillery -- enormously long PFPh of tanks and .50s hammering at the poor Germans.
2012-12-26(A) Andy Beaton vs Ardneh American / British winAmericans won with a one point margin - just couldn't take out the machine gun nests on the raised highway and took hellacious casualties as a result. Only large numbers of prisoners got me past the line.
2012-07-07(A) Keith Colins vs Brian German win
