Overview:
The German Army had failed to take the city of Voronezh by early summer 1942. Three Russian bridgeheads remained in strength on the west bank of the Don River posing a threat to the entire front. The Hungarian Army was entrusted with clearing these bridgeheads. The newly arrived 1st Armored Field Division, freshly equipped with German-made tanks, sallied forth in hopes of clearing the Russians from the west bank. . .

2018-08-18(D) Andy Beaton vs Richard Hooks Russian winHungarians were losing too many tanks to lucky flank shots to make the attack sustainable.
2012-08-17(A) Thomas Lynch vs Sean Finnerty Russian winDouble envelopment failed due to lack of leaders as one flank attack collapsed. Good workout for the calvary rules - a few charges and even a tank overrun of mounted troops.
2009-07-05(A) Jesus Pie vs tozesantos Hungarian win
2008-06-01(A) Alan Peterson vs Rudolf Musil Russian win
