The Sixth Blow ETO (id:#56081)
Multi-Man Publishing (ASL 12 - Armies of Oblivion ID:116)
Designer: Pete Shelling
Starter kit scenario?:    Deluxe scenario?:
Russian / PartisansGerman / Hungarian
In the Carpathian Mountains, the STAVKA operational plan for 1944 called for successive assaults to retake all the territory lost to the Nazis. While the “fifth blow” of the plan against Army Group Center was winding down, Marshall Konev's First Ukrainian Front assembled near Brody to deliver the sixth blow. The rugged terrain of the Carpathians helped General Harpe compensate for the overwhelming numerical superiority of the Russians. Not to be denied, Marshal Konev reorganized his operational units into Corps-sized Cavalry Mechanized Groups in which the tank brigades supported the horse cavalry in the deep penetrations.
Attacker: Russian / Partisans (Cavalry Mechanized Group Pilev: 30th Cavalry Division and 219th Tank Brigade and local Partisans)

2017-07-29(A) Gordon Jupp vs Nick Holmshaw Russian / Partisans winExcellent scenario, worth investing the time to play! I pushed down both flanks, particulalrly as one of the Panthers occupied the level 4 hill and frightened my AFV's! The northern flank got destroyed but the southern one suceeded and managed to pip the CVP score of the Hungarians.
2012-08-15(D) Andy Beaton vs Richard Hooks German / Hungarian winRussian rockets failed, but so did the useless German Panthers. It was the Mark IV's that were killing every Russian tank that showed themselves. Those, an extra tough Hungarian MMG squad and Russian pilots in a hurry to get back to the airbase for Borscht Day at the caf gave me the win.
2010-06-01(D) nathan wegener vs Peter W Russian / Partisans win
2009-06-03(D) Keith Colins vs Scott sterrit German / Hungarian win
