German (SS)American
The first objective of Operation Nordwind, Hitler's last major offensive in the west, was to secure a path through the Low Vosges mountains to the Alsatian plains. One possible path ran through Wingen-sur-Moder. Kampfgruppe Wingen was tasked to seize the village. - - - - In "Second Thoughts" SS-Gebirgs-Jäger and a captured M8 HMC meet a tiny American infantry force defending Heidenneck outside Wingen. The Americans are ready to give up arms, but change their minds as they receive unexpected armored reinforcements, which enable them to counter-attack and retake Heidenneck and maybe even break through to the now German-held Wingen itself with the tanks.
Attacker: German (SS) (Kompanie 5, Bataillon I, SS-Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 12, SS-Gebirgs-Division 6 “Nord,” Kampfgruppe Wingen and Captured M8 HMC)
Defender: American (1271st Engineer Combat Battalion and Service Troops of 179th Infantry Regiment and Company B, 781st Tank Battalion and Company l, 276th Infantry Regiment, 70th Infantry Division, Task Force Herren)

2018-03-07(D) Richard Carter vs Bruce Steed German (SS) winInteresting scenario. I tried to make a run for it with some tanks and it didn't work out. He was able to hold on to one building in the end. Though I think I could have made a better final push.
2015-03-31(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Luca Martini German (SS) win
2014-01-30(D) Fred Ingram vs Chuck Dye American winThe Germans got a little aggressive on turn 2 and the Americans were able to dish out some great defensive fire (low dice rolls) breaking two squads. They then withstood the advancing fire (even with 6 morale). The German 2 squads ended up adjacent & broken and had to surrender. Game conceded
2012-01-26(D) X von Marwitz vs Martin Mayers German (SS) win
2011-05-14(A) Steve Bowen vs M O'B German (SS) winNice scenario. Both sides get an opportunity to both attack and defend.
