|Since I didn't want to get bushwacked by the flanking Germans, I decided to Punch him in the face as he came on.|
There are 19Vp to be had in killing them. So 2/3 casualties on the incoming Germans would allow me to win.
I defended the bridge with 2 MMG and 2 squads with the 7-0. Scored 3VP on turn one.
That means I don't need as much on the incoming Germans!!
IF the Germans were delayed enough coming across the bridge (fingers crossed) then He'd have to come try to hunt my NOR/BRIT forces AWAY from the Exit side.... with all the big buildings from the edge...He'll have to bug hunt for a while.
Anyhooo...Plan took a major shit as my "attack" on the flank couldn't break anything with 8 even, 16-1, 16+1 shots...SO, I went with the backup plan...CLOSE COMBAT....I don't care if I Trade 1:1 i'll win.
Crazy game, beating up on HS's....Ended with a Norw/Brit win with a capture.
|2021-03-13||(D) Andrew Young||vs||David Goldman||Norwegian / British win||David had some bad luck with his OBA coupled with a few key CC rolls for the Allies.|
|2021-03-13||(A) S. Slunt||vs||Colin Jeschke||German win||The SSR 4 must be discussed - We agreed that if there is an "Extra Chit" draw is required that it must be done. That radio contact roll does not need to be rolled until after the end of the first Fire Mission - was not necessary as the Germans only needed the one Fire Mission|
|2021-03-10||(A) Raoul Duke||vs||Rob Ohler||Norwegian / British win||Alberta Assault 2021|
|2020-11-25||(D) Rob MacGinley||vs||Jason Nichols||Norwegian / British win||A wall of fire prevented the long journey across the bridge|
The flank attack made progress too slowly to be relied upon for the cracking ot the defence
The mad rush across the bridge was in vain
