Overview:
SOLITAIRE ASL - With the Guard Division closing in on Singapore, the British III Corps had to withdraw to the island and Jamasjita ordered the final assault in order to trap as many Commonwealth troops as possible. The 8th Australian Division and Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders peformed a nice fighting withdrawal blowing up the causway between Singapore and Malaya once they had crossed. Most made it to the island although Singapore would prove not to be much of a safe haven.Attacker: Japanese (No more details)
