Overview:

The 116th Panzer was looking for a safe bridge across the Ourthe. The U.S. setup a hasty defense with a roadblock comprised of various supply and rear echelon troops. At 0900 hours, a group of four Panthers with supporting infantry began to move towards Hotton in the mist in order to probe the U.S. defense and, if possible, to secure the bridge. The Amercans waited for some reinforcements from the 3rd Armored Division.
Attacker: German (Kampfgruppe Bayer, 116th Panzer Division)
