Overview:

After a hard struggle, the Red Army had succeeded in establishing a significant bridgehead at Serafimovich, on the west bank of the Don. The German XVII Corps and the Italian XXXV Army Corps were assigned to a joint counterattack. At the crack of dawn, after a short artillery preparation and number of Stuka bombings, the confidant Italians attacked. Despite a hard defense, and significant Italian losses, the Russian lines were broken, and the defenders were forced to retreat. Later that day, the order was given that the secondary target of the attack, Kotovskij, was to be assaulted.
Attacker: Italian (Battaglione Alpini "Vestone," 6° Reggimento Alpini and LXVII Battaglione Bersaglieri Corazzato)

2023-03-02(A) Ian Morris vs Joe Arthur Russian win
2023-01-17(A) Camille Garek vs Douglas Leslie Russian winItalian vs Russian is not a common one.
A bunch of tankettes and at least the ATR are useful.
Open ground to cover.
A lot of interesting things.
2021-08-29(A) Shane Pask vs Italian winRussian guns are powerful but setup severely limits their use. Not sure if it was bad tactics or bad luck but the Russians never looked like winning. Lots of boxcars and snake eyes but only 1 sniper activation (to break an Italian tank crew that survived CS2). Italians achieved victory conditions by turn 4 and had completely cleared the town a turn later.
