Overview:

Patton's II Corps struggled to exploit its success at El Guettar against Generaloberst Hans-Jürgen von Arnim. Axis forces still held strong positions, particularly on the Djebel Berda on the right flank of II Corps. A regiment of the Big Red One held Hill 772 on the djebel at one point but, exposed and unsupported, it was ordered to withdraw. Patton soon regretted surrendering the foothold. As II Corps renewed its attack along the El Guettar-Gabès Road, 9th Infantry Division was tasked with retaking Hill 772 to cover the advance.

2026-03-14(D) Richard Jenulis vs Rob Modarelli American winAmericans rolled over the Italians like a tidal wave over a sand castle. Wires and mines were ineffective. Once a couple Italian squads broke there was little for the Italians to do on their turns. Americans shrugged off the -2 shots. Italian highlight was a crazy 7-0 leader who would not roll over and held two American HS in melee.
