Overview:

With the arrival of the Allies in Normandy, many in France believed their liberation would follow within weeks if not days. The Communist FTP partisans believed that they would now have to take matters into their own hands or see their power in the Correze region swept aside by history. So in defiance of every order they had received through London, and of every rule of guerilla warfare and common prudence, they attempted to seize and control the sleepy town of Tulle - a plan they had been relishing for months. Threading their way down the wooded hills and into the streets of Tulle came the blue-clad guerillas, draped with haversacks and bandoliers and brandishing their weapons. Street by street and house by house they advanced, engaging the hated Boche wherever they found them.

2023-03-10(A) Rob Tyson vs Brian Sielski Partisan (FTP) win
2022-03-25(D) Craig Renier vs Mark Pandori German winPlayed using German Balance. The main thrust of the Partisan attack was on the German left with a flanking force on the German right. Withering fire from the German defenders, including multiple ROF shots from LMGs and the MMG shredded the Partisan's initial thrust. The Germans carefully fell back giving up the two most forward multihex buildings. The Partisans pressed on and, when 9-1 leader pinned and 4-4-7 w/ MMG in the center stone building broke, the tide suddenly shifted. The Partisans were tied up in melee in the center for two turns slowing the advance. But, they were able to cross both roads and advance into another wooden multihex building and the center stone building. The force in the stone building was too weak to eliminate the leader and squad, which had rallied. In addition, the defenders in the wooden building refused to give up, keeping the attackers at bay. One last gamble to gain an undefended wooden building on the German right was made when a Partisan half squad made a dash across open ground. The desperate attempt failed compelling the Allied player to concede.
