Overview:

Quite unexpectedly, the British launched a major counterattack from Arras against the extended spearheads of Rommel’s breakthrough. The Germans were able to stop the foot soldiers but the British armor pushed on unsupported – deep into the German lines. Desperate, Rommel used elements of the nearby 6th Motorized Rifle Brigade and any guns he could commandeer to throw together a makeshift defense outside the village of Beaurains.
Attacker: British (4th Battalion, Royal Tank Regiment)
Defender: German (Panzer Division 7)

2024-12-18(D) dean deaniks vs Grimvyn British win
2024-12-14(A) Seumas Hoskins vs Dean British winA lucky critical took out one of the Matildas early on, making the Germans more confident in approaching them. After the 40L started tearing into their armor, Germans realized it only helped British victory. The Matildas made it off board before the 88s ever arrived.
2024-05-11(A) John Garlic vs Ed Barnes British win
2024-01-20(A) Shane Pask vs German winMy tactics and luck suck. Kept the tanks in motion hoping to exit before the 88s arrived. Almost made it. Stopped for one turn and fired - gun malfed of course then tank recalled. German arty drew 2 red chits so it was looking good for victory on turn 7 - then AT gun got a CH and burned my 3rd Matilda. (lost another to a point blank rear hit). When the 88 hit my last mobile Matilda 1 game over turn 12 with 27 VP.
2021-01-02(D) Dwayne Duval vs Kevin Duval British winAlthough the British AFV moved painfully slowly, the Germans just could not do enough damage. By the end, the British only had to exit one AFV for the win, which finally happened on turn 14.
