Overview:
Attacking southward to break the siege of Leningrad, Russian armor assaulted towards Krutik under cover of a late spring blizzard. Russian infantry supported by artillery, mortars and rockets led the attack on the town. The initial assault was repulsed with heavy German losses. At 1100 the Russians renewed the arrack, led this time by T-34’s. The Spanish Guripas of Eighth Company had no weapons that could stop a tank.
