Overview:

Following a successful crossing of the Johore Causeway on 9 February, Japanese forced advanced toward Bukit Timah heights, literally translated as Tin Mountain. The surrounding villages held a number of vital supply dumps and the main road ran directly to Singapore. Tomforce, a hastily organized battle group comprised of elements of the newly arrived 18th Infantry Division, stood in the Japanese path. One unit of Tomforce, the 18th Reconnaissance Regiment, was ordered to secure Bukit Timah village and halt the enemy’s advance. They mounted their carriers and headed for the village center.

2021-06-06(A) Shane Pask vs Japanese winI still hate carriers. Both sides started with attacks of snake eyes - Poms resist, Jap leader wounded and squad reduced. All carriers dismounted turn 2 and I reached a high point of 3 buildings. Then the reinforcements arrived and I slowly lost ground. Japs rolled another pair of snake eyes including a CH from the 57 (which I again shook off) but by turn 5 I only had 1 HS unbroken and no buildings under control so I conceded. 8-1 broke and ELRed around turn 3 and never rallied.
2019-03-08(D) Vic Lauterbach vs JM Japanese winThe initial British rush got three HS w/LMGs into the village and took four hut locations, but the Japanese reinforcements easily pushed them out. Three British HS fell to double break results, while the Japanese stacks with leaders shrugged off every 1MC and NMC. One ATR malf'd on its first shot while the other scored numerous hits to NE. Not much fun for either side - Japanese got a win with minimal effort.
2013-09-19(D) David Ramsey vs Martin Barker Japanese winBritish resignation on turn 3. The troops got into the village but lost 2 carriers and broke 2 squads when the tanks rolled in.
2012-07-21(D) Martí Cabré vs Ramón Real Bernal Japanese winRamón surrendered his British troops on Turn 3 has he saw no way to continue playing. He had disembarked his troops on Turn 2 far away from the village and Japanese defensive fire broke his units when trying to go for the village. Maybe he should have moved with the carriers inside the village.
2002-12-23(A) Rich Weiley vs Aaron Cleavin Japanese win
