Bad luck persisted on both sides early with Persian HMG disabled turn 2 and both MMG disabled by turn 6 & Poms seemed unable to pass a MC. Persian sniper twice missed Pom leaders (including 10-2 Capt Irwin) and broke accompanying squads instead. In the end, Poms sat at a range of 5 and their overwhelming numbers slowly reduced the defenders. Concentrated on the east end of the trench line and any broken squads were eliminated due to no Quarter once the Poms were in the trench line. (Parked AC behind the trenches to prevent rout). Persians conceded turn 7 with Poms 41, Persians 34 and no hope of a counterattack. Persian MMG eliminated one AC and stunned 2 others before it disabled. | |||
