Overview:

Infantry Regiment Großdeutschland spent the night on the hill's northwest of Villiers-sur-Semois screened by a thin line of pickets. The 1st Battalion carrying their machine-guns, ammunition canisters and mortar bases which weighed heavy on men, passed west of Mellier and pushed on towards the village of Suxy. The attack on Suxy developed into a perfect training school attack supported by the Regiments’ heavy weapons, including artillery and assault guns. The infantry supported by the assault guns stormed into the village and the enemy forces, a French Cavalry reconnaissance company, suffered heavy losses while putting up a stubborn defense.

2025-11-10(A) Jobbo Fett vs Rob W. German winAn unfortunate French setup and exceedingly free lines of sight from the German guns allowed for early and easy control of the battlefield by the attackers. Lucky hits and punishing rates of fire allowed the Germans to eliminate or break units and open the way for fast movement across the open ground.

Multiple critical hits and a blaze started in a fortified building were the cherry on top of an already highlight worthy performance where the German OBA never failed, only 1 infantry gun ever broke down, and nothing was in place to prevent the StuGs from harassing the defenders ad nauseum, Definitely a scenario that needs some modification to give the French side something to do.
2025-09-20(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best French winGermans took it to seven turns before giving the concession. Too few Germans for too big an area to cover and victory ask. Otherwise fun game.
2025-09-20(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins French win4 hrs
2021-08-09(D) Jason Nichols vs Bruno Javanabal German winNot much fun for the French. The Germans get to hammer the French with artillery and guns set up in the hills with no ability, virtually, to hit back. Shrouded in smoke the French strongpoints were not able to inflict much damage on the advancing German infantry and SPG's. By the time the French bring on their guns, which are very vulnerable to attack as they setup, the Germans had already obtained positions in the town. Fragile French morale and a reluctance to rally once broken did not help.
2012-02-18(A) Jeff Waldon vs Frank Tozier French winVASL-My attack was far from textbook and the French defense was well-played, highly recommended large (but not a monster) scenario
