Overview:
Russian forces had broken through the I Kavallerie-Korps’ defenses, southwest of Budapest, in several places. One such penetration was at Gyulamajor. The 4th Kavallerie Brigade was tasked with an immediate counterattack to retake the village. A kampfgruppe consisting of Schwere Kavallerie Battalion 4 and King Tigers from the 503rd Schwere Panzer Abteilung attacked toward the village and were met with a heavy volume of Russian artillery, anti-tank gun, and tank main gun fire from the village.Attacker: German (Elements 70th Panzer Aufklaerungs Btn, 4th Cavalry Bde & sPzAbt 503)
