Overview:

Operation Typhoon was in full swing with German panzers surging towards Tula and Moscow. Realizing the developing threat, the Russian high command sent the 4th Tank Brigade to reinforce the 1st Guards Rifle Corps, which was faced with halting the German advance in this sector. One of the 4th Tank Brigade’s battalions was equipped entirely with the new T-34 and KV-1 tanks. Facing an entire unit equipped with these behemoths would prove to be quite a shock for the Germans.
Attacker: Russian (Elements of the 1st Battalion, 4th Tank Brigade and 36th (Motorcycle) Rifle Regiment)
Defender: German (Elements of Panzer Regiment 35, Kradschutzen Bataillon 34 and Panzerartillerie Regiment 103 of the 4th Panzer Division)

2025-04-26(A) nathan wegener vs Doug Kirk Russian winHad a great initial prep knocked out 3 tanks and immobilised 2 more. Flood of infantry up the middle. He pulled infantry back but this was over quick. Killed an immobilised tank with a captured Pz4 !
2024-02-02(A) Richard Jenulis vs Tycho Granville German winThis was an insane scenario from the beginning. Lots of action in a wild frenzy of attacks and counter attacks. It looked like a Russian steamroller with the Germans bread thin and the Russian armor in sight of the bridge. Then the scenario turned on a dime. The Russians made it across the bridge, but squandered their 3:1 CVP count and lost too many CVP, including a T34 captured by the Germans.
