Overview:

The only way to stop Poland from being overrun by the Red Army was to counterattack the Soviet bridgeheads before they could reinforce. One such bridgehead was located along the Narev at Dzerzhinin. The 65th Army’s 105th Rifle Corps had already begun to dig in around the village as guns of the 921st Artillery regiment were emplaced in support. Before more heavy weapons could be brought across the Narew, the salient was attacked by the 25th and 3rd Panzer Divisions, which were recently reinforced with the King Tigers Schwere Pz abt 505. Surprised at the rejuvenated offensive capability of the panzerwaffe, the Russian infantry in the forward positions ran from their foxholes, terrorized by the massive Tigers and the speed and coordination of the German assault. This was no beaten enemy they were facing. This was blitzkrieg with a second wind.
Attacker: German (25th Panzer Division, Pz. Abt. 505, and 3rd Panzer Division)
Defender: Russian (1023rd Rifle Regiment, 16th Heavy Tank Rgt., and 921st Art. Rgt.)

2022-03-26(A) S. Slunt vs Mika Harviala Russian winLost because of the CVP Cap of 39 CVP in the Russian Turn 4 - CC kill of a Stug in the Victory Building. Lost both King Tigers for a Total of 20CVP
2019-11-23(A) Oliver Ahrendt vs Russian German winAnother great eastern front action. This one requires good combined arms skills and the German player has to play very agressively. Watch out for the IS 2s! Victory came in the final turn. A lot of crazy things happened during play.
2017-06-25(D) Andy Goldin vs Jim Fardette German winA lot of high end toys to play with in this scenario. As the Russian defender, I set up most of my infantry too far forward, in attempt to hold the town. Naturally, Jim bypassed the knot of resistance and drove right for the objectives. Some timely and accurate tank gunnery from my JSIIs managed to crystalize his attack, while my remaining infantry delayed his infantry in the woods for a few turns. At the end of turn 5, it looked like I may be able to hold on to the Guns and building location. However, shrewd and aggressive play by Jim, coupled with three lucky shots by his tanks, wiped out my remaining gun position and heavy tank platoon. The use of half tracks as a gambit on two occasions really worked for him. As a result, it was largely over by the end of turn 6, and the Russian bridgehead was crushed.
2015-10-09(D) Jason Wert vs Richard Andrews German win
