Overview:

The Marine 4th Raider Battalion was assigned the mission of clearing Viru Harbor. P and O Companies landed in the night at Regi, and fought a pair of rearguard actions as it marched towards Viru Harbor. On the 29th, Lt Devillo Brown was sent down a side trail towards the village of Tombe. The team soon encountered a ridge running across their line of march. On one side was the Choi River, the other was an impassable swamp. The Marines were forced to cross a wide area of kunai as they approached the ridge. As the lead forces mounted the base of the slope, Japanese machineguns opened fire.

2020-06-28(D) Vic Lauterbach vs JM American (USMC) winPlays fast - I thought I had it won with an HIP HS near the trail, but one of Jim's MMC walked right into it then killed it in CC! The Japanese are much more to play when they're not in caves!
2017-11-19(D) Tom Abromaitis vs American (USMC) win
2016-05-07(D) Jim Kloss vs Bob Eury Japanese winDespite the 7 1/2 turns, we were done in less than 4 hours. A faster moving scenario than the terrain would suggest.
I won by deploying HIP Japanese half squads near the farthest VC trail hexes. The HS's advanced in on the next to last game turn and couldn't be dislodged by the marines.
This would be a good introductory PTO scenario.
2014-06-14(A) Raoul Duke vs CH Japanese winFun scenario, though a little dicey. Lost it all on a CC that got to big.
2013-10-05(A) Simon Staniforth vs Japanese win
