Overview:

The vanguard of the 9th Canadian Infantry Brigade was stopped at Authie by intense enemy fire. After digging in around the village, the men of "C" Company saw tanks and infantry approaching them from the east, toward their exposed left flank. Through the smoke of battle, the Highlanders at first thought that these were Canadian forces as no armoured enemy units were known to be in the area. The crack of cannon fire into their positions identified this force as enemy. With their armoured support leading, the fanatic young troopers of the 12th S Panzer Division (Hitler Jugend) charged forward through the waist high grain. This was their first battle and the youngsters were eager to prove themselves in combat.
Attacker: German (SS) (III Battalion, 25th SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment and H Battalion, 12th SS Panzer Division)
Defender: Canadian ("C" Company, North Nova Scotia Highlanders and elements of the 27th Armored Regiment)

2021-09-09(D) Dave Mareske vs Scott Mullins Canadian win
2021-09-07(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dave Mareske Canadian winMy SS were hit hard early and often. The Sherman Firefly would knock out 3 tanks before a Faust found him. By the end, all the Allied tanks were knocked out and one MKIV was left standing. My SS grenadiers were shredded but still made it into the village and fought some tough hand to hand battles, but the Canadians would hold out and win the game. 1st Face to face game in over two years.
2020-11-21(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German (SS) winTough game for the Canadians. Dan's Firefly took down three tanks and three more were lost before my Germans took out all the Canadian Armor and had overrun the Canadian infantry. By Turn 5, it was over and a German victory.
2020-11-21(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins German (SS) win
2017-11-05(A) Tom Kearney vs Lindsey Murillo German (SS) winCommonwealth in Normandy campaign.
