Overview:

As disaster manifested itself in every form for Fil-American forces, General Parker, the American commander of II Corps, looked for units to plug gaps in the line. Units of untrained Filipinos would quickly form up and then, just as quickly, disperse or disintegrate. There were, however, still some units under control facing the Japanese. And with them was General Bluemel. Bluemel had all but lost hope of being able to right the sinking ship in II Corps’ sector. Parker ordered Colonel Vance and the remaining 26th Cavalry, without horses but still the most effective fighting force on Bataan, to report to Bluemel at the intersection of Trails 2 and 10. Bluemel positioned the horseless cavalry just north of a large crater that was blocking vehicular movement southward and ordered them to hold in place. Bluemel then found some reinforcements and ordered them to assist the now hard-pressed position as they were in danger if being overwhelmed by a large force of well-trained and lead Japanese infantry.

2022-02-05(D) Rich Weiley vs Neil MacPherson American/Filipino winPaddington Bearz - February 2022. Diced for sides and got the defending Americans. Basically US firepower dominated. I set up so my opponent had to non assault move adjacent. 12 flat shots quickly resulted in my opponents first line troops melting away to striped 2nd liners. If there was any danger of CC, the defenders would self break, rout back to a leader, rally and then wait for the next Japanese movement phase. The main Japanese assault came as a wide swing around the US left. But even here I was able to interpose the reinforcements between the Japanese and exit area. My opponent conceded on turn 5 when it was clear his chances of exit were negligible. Had a couple of issues around the scrub jungle SSR, so not sure if we played that correctly. Overall an OK scenario, might be a be it tough on the Japanese.
2015-08-21(D) Gordon Jupp vs Derek Cox American/Filipino winHaving a full day available to us we decided to play both scenarios and pleased we did. Interesting combo of light armour, Elite and and Green troops for the Allied side. I sat all the armour as far back as possible at set up and then pulled it back to try and cover the exit points, along with the MMG, 2 squads and the 9-1. The remainder tried to pull back in front of the advancing masses! The reinforcing Green troops all died but they held on sufficiently long enough to delay Derek so that on his last Mph he was forced to run a turkey shoot past the MMG, nearly worked tho! He was only 2 points short...Another close game that had wild swings on the dice and unfortunately for Derek one of those was a boxcars for the sighting TC of the FB before it had dropped its bombs...
