Overview:
The Poles concentrated a force and attacked from Letowinca towards Czyzewo to break out of a trap. The 76th Infantry Regiment had set up blocking positions to destroy the Polish forces, resulting in heavy fighting at Andrzejewo. In the bloody battle that ensued the Poles were undaunted in the attack, and the 76th Regiment’s 2nd Battalion could not hold the line. The Germans countered with reinforcements from the 8th Panzer Regiment and 86th Motorized Infantry Regiment.Attacker: Polish (Elements 18th Infantry Division)
