Overview:
The Soviets attacked Skidel on the morning of 20 September. The attacking force was comprised of 200 Belorussian Partisans, tanks, armored cars, and infantry from the Mechanized Group of the 16th Rifle Corps. The poles committed additional force into what would be a see-saw, 8 hour battle, which included brutal close combat. Although the Polish reserve cavalrymen lacked heavy equipment, there was no shortage of elan.Attacker: Russian (Reinforced elements 16th Rifle Corps)
