Overview:

Since the first day of the uprising a company of Germans had been holding the 11-story PAST telephone exchange building. The isolated position had held out thanks to several armored vehicles making supply deliveries of food. The AK commander ordered the building captured as the Germans had begun to counterattack near enough to relieve the trapped garrison. Battalion Kilinski planned the attack for dawn on August 20.

2022-01-01(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winDan's Partisans were not able to emerge from the sewers and suffered horrendous losses during defensive fire. The first attempt to enter the cellars resulted in the losses of 6 squads, the 8-0 and 8-1 along with 2 x DC's, an LMG and a Flamethrower. On Turn 2 a final attempt would be successful, but then all 3 x squads were lost in hand to hand combat. With that final loss, the Partisans were out of gas and Dan gave the concession at the end of 2 Turns. It's critical for the sewer emergence die rolls to be successful, otherwise, things can go south very quickly for the Partisans.
2017-03-16(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dave Mareske Partisan winIn a tough hand to hand fight, my Partisans bubbled out of the sewers and rushed the 1st level. The combination allowed my boys to get into the building and slug it out with the Germans. Great,fun scenario!
