Overview:

The final scenario is set in The Netherlands in the spring of 1945. Here the 12th Manitoba Dragoons, also known as the 18th Armoured Car Regiment and part of the 2nd Canadian Corps complement, forms a spearhead in the liberation of The Netherlands against an uncoordinated German defence. Even though it is clear that the end of the war is near, the unpredictability of the German defenders introduces significant risks for the lightly armed Dragoons and French SAS Paratroopers.

2019-05-17(A) James Rimmer vs Rich Domovic German win
2019-04-29(A) Michael Rodgers vs Magnus Rimvall German win This is an unusual scenario. Canadian armoured cars and halftracks must run a gauntlet of dispersed mixed quality German infantry to reach a town on the far side of the board where Free French paratroopers have landed. The Germans have 1945 PF of course, 2 PSK, two Dutch AC with 37L guns, a light mortar and many MG with which to attack the Canadian mostly light armour. May be Magnus was luck in our game, but I believe the Axis side is favoured. On the fourth turn out of five, my second-to-last AFV that I needed to survive died to seal the German victory.
2019-02-10(A) rene cote vs Drimmer Canadian winA very tight finish. Rushed for the village and got all squads dismounted without getting fried. Rushed all remaining AFV around the VC hexes in turn 5 and survive the final panzerfaust fest.
2018-12-09(D) Jeff B vs Elmo Menon German winThis one is certainly interesting if nothing else, with the setup and German movement restrictions. I think a full paradrop would be in order though rather than the somewhat goofy SSR. I also think the SSR about the Partisans is a bit too powerful and perhaps should be limited to one check per building. My plan was to put conscripts at the front and run everyone else back to the VC area ASAP. The swirling vehicle battles will certainly make for a bit of fun, but we only made it about halfway before my opponent decided he just had no chance.
