Overview:

On the 24th the main body of the 1st Marines, lead by the battle hardened and legendary Col. "Chesty" Puller, crossed the Han River by LVT and DUKW, landing in the shadow of Hill 105-S in an area which had been secured by the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines a few days earlier and which had only recently been cleared of mines. With his infantry across, but with his tanks having to cross further to his west by ferry, at Haengju, and then work their way up stream to him, Puller had to move his regiment eastwards along a narrow corridor and then wheel northwards in order to have the room necessary to adopt the textbook attack solution of two battalions up, and one back-so as to take Seoul in a drive from south to north, one that would take it through its very heart.
Attacker: American (USMC) (2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division)
Defender: North Korean (Seoul City Regiment, the 78th Independent Infantry Regiment and the 25th Infantry Brigade with Hill 105-S Holdouts)

2021-07-02(D) Rich Weiley vs Richard Cornwell North Korean winGood introductory scenario for this module. I over committed to defend the KPA right flank and my opponent pushed hard for the closest exit point around F58. Luckily I was able to reposition sufficient troops to jam the exit , the marines failed crucial morale checks during their last movement phase and were only able to exit 3VP.
