Overview:

The American military mission to China led by General Stillwell was formed with the intent to create a Theater of Operations in the China, Burma, India area to engage the Japanese forces and protect the Allied interests. Despite politics, logistics, and pride the Chinese Expeditionary Force defended against the Japanese incursions towards Rangoon. Stillwell ordered the 200th Division under the leadership of General Tai An-lan to occupy the line around the walled city of Toungoo as a demonstration of China's willingness to do their share of the fighting. The Japanese wanted to exploit the inherent weakness of the defensive line and so sent troops to attack the airfield adjacent to Toungoo. General Tai was a man of ability, however, and a force to be reckoned with.

2022-03-25(D) Kermit Mullins vs Scott Waites Chinese winSet a screen of Chinese 4-4-7's in the Kunai west of the airfield and everyone else in the backfield. Managed to hammer the Japanese as they approached and then then Banzai Charged on turn 5 and were cut down crossing the airfield, but managed to get into Melee in the north woods, where they were eventually all killed for a Chinese victory.
2020-11-09(A) O Ramaille vs Japanese winHalf of the Chinese troops waited for the Japanese in the village whereas the other half setup on the opposite side of the runway. The village was quickly overwhelmed by the Japanese banzai charges but they lost some of their forces and their precious leaders. Nonetheless, they rushed forward but the Chinese HMG was deadly. A few remaining Japanese halfsquads still managed to fire at the Chinese defenders and silence the gun. Just enough for a Japanese victory (only 10 Chinese FP available).
2020-09-10(D) Indy Lagu vs Rob Oler Chinese winAn interesting fall-back conundrum to jungle surrounded by a runway
for the Chinese.

The Chinese have to setup a bit upfront...my defence was mostly upfront,
with the MMG and HMG back by the runway.

The Chinese cannot stay in place, they have to move or they will be overrun
by Banzai charges.

A lot of fun, it wasn't decided until very late. I think this might be a bit
tough on the Japanese...but it was only one playing. Consider giving the
Japanese player the balance.
