Overview:
The battle of Uman would take place from mid-July to the first week of August. The Axis Offensive Operations had resulted in encirclements of the participating Soviet Armies. Among the Axis forces were the Hungarian Army's Mobile Corps. The Mobile Corps would form the southwestern cornerstone of the Axis encirclement. On August 1st, the Hungarian 2nd Motorized Corps had crossed the Bug River and attacked the heights west of Moldovka. As the Hungarians occupied the hill, they would see a Soviet counterattack forming up and moving towards their position.Attacker: Russian (Elements of 18th Army)
