Overview:

The 2.SS-Panzerdivision Das Reich was forced to delay its counterattack on the British penetration west of Caen in order to deal with the British 49th Division’s advance south from Rauray. This delay allowed the 9th Cameronians to occupy Grainville and the 7th Seaforth Highlanders to advance to the hamlet of le Valtru in effort to secure the right flank of the now named “Scottish Corridor”. Before the Seaforths could reach le Valtru, they were hit by Kampfgrüppe Weidinger of 2.SS-Panzerdivision Das Reich.

2023-03-17(A) Rob Schmitt vs Doug Roubidoux German (SS) winKC March Madness Tournament 2023. I was the German player. Simultaneous set up and die roll for start. British opponent started 1st. My 2 Panther tanks were more than a match for his 3 Churchill VIIs which were all were destroyed during the course of the game. No loss of Panthers. British was timid in attack until last turn when he rushed for the VP hex row needed to win. I won by maintaining the defense line, not by VP exiting. Close game.

2023-01-23(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best British winGermans moved first and had the jump on two Churchills. One Panther MALF'd its shot and the second took out a Churchill. The remaining Churchills and infantry moved into the village center to spar with the SS Grenadiers. Turn 2 - German Panther with MALF'd MA moves and gets a Crit Hit from a PIAT with back to back snakes for a burning wreck. The SS Grenadiers struggle to make progress as the Churchills get critical hits against them. The remaining Panther goes on a vengeance ride and gets smoked by the British mortars, but still destroys the remaining two Churchills. It then attempts to escape and gets a CRIT hit from the same PIAT team that destroyed the other Panther and is destroyed. With only 11 VP left, the Germans conceded for a Canadian victory.
