2025-02-22(D) Peter Palmer vs John Knowles Russian win1.08 hrsThis is a popcorn scenario - the dice will have an impact - our game was over fairly quickly, I couldn't cause casualties and John just rolled over the top of me. I think the Japanese have to setup and be used immediately otherwise their impact is wasted. This is Throwaway ASL - it can be great fun but in the grand scheme of things it's not a stand out. What it is, is a great introduction to mounted movement and Arid Desert. Don't take it too seriously just play it and enjoy the social aspects of ASL.
2024-04-15(A) Richard Jenulis vs Dennis Hess Russian winFast, fun beer and pretzels ASL. I'd play it again.
2024-02-22(D) Tuomo Lukkari vs Mikko Lukkari Japanese/Manchukuoan win
2023-05-14(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Russian winFast playing game. The machine guns are key to the defenders. Dan's Japanese Banzai Charged me twice and KIA'd two of my four Russian 4-4-7's. So remember that, the Banzai charge was devastating in this game. Despite my losses, my Russians were able to clear the huts of all but one squad. That squad was then broken in Defensive Fire of Turn 5 for the Russian win.
