Overview:

After crossing the Salwwen, Japanese forces raced to surround Rangoon and cut off the city's defenders from roads leading north. Over the following days, many small actions were fouhght by patrols around hastily built roadblocks. One such encounter occurred near Payagyi on the road leading from Rangoon to Prome. The 55th Division crossed the Prome road, turning south to claim the prize of being the first to reach Rangoon. As the division completed its crossing, the divisional commander ordered a roadblock to be set up blocking the passage to the north. Two companies of the 55th Division were initially tasked with manning the post. Upon word of reinforcements moving down from the east, one company broke off and streamed southward the honor awaiting at Rangoon. The remaining company was alerted to enemy in the area as a patrol of Stuarts approached the roadblock. These light tanks were "Honeys" of the newly arrived 7th Armoured Brigade, who had swapped their Desert Rats red jerboa for a green jerboa mascot, becoming the "Jungle Rats." The Honeys were driven off, but returned with infantry support.

2025-09-11(A) William Waymont vs Todd Hudman British winThis one was incredibly close. The early going for my limeys was very fortunate. It was looking like I would get an early concession. Toddball decided to play one more turn and what a turn it was. He came back with a vengeance, and it was game on! This was maybe the most fun I've had with and ASL scenario, ever. It could be the swings in action and the incredible acts of cardboard heroism we experienced over that comeback turn, but the scenario was a blast.
I eventually pull my chestnuts from the fire and won by the skin of my British teeth.
2025-05-17(A) Michael Rodgers vs Paul SidhuD Japanese win5 hrs
2025-01-11(A) Fred Jordan vs Walter Fox Japanese winVery enjoyable scenario. I played as the British and selected the group with the hero and the DC. The attack went well but the Japanese put up a good fight and, though surrounded on 3 sides, ended up in control of building J6. Will definitely play again.
2024-11-01(D) Dave B vs Joseph L DiCamillo Japanese win6 hrsThe Japanese won by barely holding onto four multi hex buildings. The British chose the flamethrower group for their OOB.
2024-10-19(D) Peyton Spreacker vs Brandon Dega British winIt all came down to dice rolls and a risky flame thrower friendly fire move by the Brits. A fun one overall.
