Introduction:

SCENARIO PLACEHOLDER (DATE/TURNS) DATA ENTERED: Scenario will be updated as more information becomes available.

Due out the last Monday of this month or the first Monday in April.

Brush Fire by Steve Johns: A nice, tourney sized Russian Front scenario set on Board 91 with a company of German Infantry attacking a mixed company of Russians, holding a position near the avenue of advance. The Germans have 2 Panzer IIIs and 2 Panzer II Flame Tanks in support BUT the Russians have a 76L Art and a 45L ATG waiting for them. If the German can suppress the guns before they take out the Panzers, they have a good chance to clear them out.

Over the Prosna by Dale Drake: This one sees the Germans 1st SS attacking a Polish border guard unit on Board 59, the Germans need to force a bridge crossing, take much of the village and exit for the win. They have an elite company of infantry with 2 PSWs in support, the Pole's have a 37L ATG to confront the ACs and a much-needed reinforcement group of elite cavalry on horseback trying to save the day. This has been very even in playtesting.

Dracula's Fangs by Ted Wilcox. Great, late war, PTO action in Burma, as the Allies need to take out heavy artillery overlooking the bay leading to Rangoon. A reinforced, and elite company of Gurkhas are attacking a company of mainly 2nd line Japanese infantry, with some 4-4-7s, guarding the big guns the Allies need to take out. SMOKE is paramount for both sides here, the Gurkhas need it to get past the machine gun manned pillboxes, and the Japanese need theirs to obscure allied fire. This can be a nail biter as the Gurkhas have just enough time to make it happen. On boards 40, 44 & 3A. Nice job Ted!

Busting Bergeln by Jeff Myers: A manageable Night Action in late March 1945 as an American Infantry Company is attacking a mixed company of Germans in the remnants of Bergeln, Germany. Blazes from previous fighting light up the night and become a problem as the scenario unfolds for both sides. The Americans are trying to clear the village of unbroken Germans. On Boards 16, 33 & 49. This was a very fun Night Scenario in my experience, and the GIs have just enough time to get it done. Another nice scenario from Mr Myers.

We also have the continuation of Carl Nogueira's excellent article of How and When to move in ASL, plus our usual look at the regional tournament and club scene.
