Overview:

The 4th Armoured Brigade, probing northeast of Gabr Saleh, was driving a German recon unit before it. The Afrika Korps at last reacted, quickly forming several units of the 21st Panzer Division into Kampfgruppe Stephan which set out to investigate the reports of the British tanks. The Kampfgruppe located the tail-end regiment of the 4th’s and attacked. Cries for help brought the 5th RTR which arrived before dark and immediately counterattacked. . .

2024-11-18(A) David Garvin vs Nick Faryna German win
2024-04-27(D) Neal Ulen vs Scott German winThe Hussars took it soundly on the chin. I spread my Germans nearly equally across the board to try and prevent any flanking moves. Scott had most of units enter on the north and south sides, with those entering in the middle splitting off to the north and south to make two large flanking groups. By the end of turn 1, after the Germans had a full round of def fire and then prep fire, half the Brit tanks were already scrap. Scott later got a CH on one of my German panzers, and I eventually lost two more, but by that time Scott had an immobilization, shock, malf'd then recalled AFV, plus lost a few more to another German DFPh. A couple of my 50mm tanks went on 4 ROF tears. It was pretty ugly. I've read that this scenario can end very quickly, that was the case here.
2024-02-28(D) Peyton Spreacker vs Brandon Dega British winThis was definitely a fun one! A quick one, but a fun one. The Germans set up two mixed AFV groups close to the center of the set up area and the British broke into three even attack groups. The British were able to move around the late afternoon sun blindness to land some excellent shots on the German AFVs. One German AFV attack group had two MA malf (the PzIV with a 8-1 leader a Pz III) in the same defensive fire turn. This coupled with some poor use of motion on the other side of the board led a game that was trading fairly evenly at the start into a very quick surround of the Germans by the British AFVs and 40 DVPs earned at turn 2. Brandon was rolling lights out and I was honestly rolling terribly. This is definitely a good scenario if you just love AFVs!
2024-02-19(A) Rob Tyson vs Brian Sielski German win
2023-06-04(D) Don Nordloff vs Don Petros British winStarted out as a long rang duel. Then after the field was thinned on both sides we ended up swirling around, four of the remaining six tanks has malfed MA. German lost a certain victory earlier by rolling a dud on a side shot. Mark IV with HEAT was a highlight. Good introductory scenario for DTO
